IDENTIFYING BODY FIGURATION of a human body entails identifying the head position, posture variations 1 and 2, shoulder vertical and horizontal movements and the seat shapes.

A typical human body usually exhibits a number of physical body variations known as body figuration. All these variations can be grouped under a few segments to help us understand the human figure. To measure ‘a’, place a long ruler vertically down or hang a measuring tape from the outtermost part of the shoulders. Next, get a shorter ruler to measure the distance ‘a” to the innermost part of the waist. For measuring ‘b’, place the longer ruler vertically from the outermost part of the seat and use the shorter ruler to measure the distance  ‘b’ to the innermost part of the waist.
